Bug Description

Since empty trash shows a dialog, it should have an ellipsis (…) appended to its quicklist item, indicating a follow up step. This is in keeping with the HIG.

Marco, kindly use "fix committed" only when it is merged into the main branch. Until then it can be left as In progress.

Since the command doesn't require further information to complete, there should be no ellipsis. Whether there's a dialogue is irrelevant.

See the third guideline: http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/menus-design.html.en#menu-item-type-command

If we're deliberately disregarding the HIG here, why?

Greg, Yup, I've referred to the HIG and that line before accepting this bug as a papercut.
However, MPT does not like that line,(iirc, he had mentioned that was something he looked to getting fixed for HIG 3.)
It is the reason we have "Shutdown...", "Restart..." , "Logout..." all those are just confirmation dialogs too.
This discussion took place about a yr or so on the ayatana mailing list. (iirc, it was something about loosing user data, I was the one who asked why we have the ellipses in the session menu.. ;) you could try searching for his reply)
