Bug Description

Binary package hint: xubuntu-desktop

In Intrepid Ibex/usr/share/xubuntu-docs/ misses localized folders, ie /usr/share/xubuntu-docs/fi even if language packs are installed.

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.

Ubuntu gets its translations from the translations portion of Launchpad (http://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/), where translation teams work on making Ubuntu more useful in their language. If you want to change a translation in Ubuntu there is the right place.

It appears the translations for documentation other than the index have not been completed at this time.

Documentation is fully translated, at least in Italian language, but in Xubuntu it appears in English only.
So it's not that the problem.

There is no po file in xubuntu-docs package source.

Mmm... seems that the branch is yet affected.

There are no po files in the source:

Adi, we don't use bug reports on the xubuntu-docs project. It's sufficient that the bug is open on the xubuntu-docs package in Ubuntu.

After discussion with the docs team, we are planning to have updated (and maintained) translations for xubuntu-docs in Lucid.
