Endgame doesn't cause the crash in amd64 Hardy alpha2 liveCD on my system, but others have reported that this bug does still exist in Hardy. Would it be worth trying a Hardy USB stick (which would allow me to test Blender etc) or should a reproducible Gutsy crash be enough for the developers to work from? (if it is reproducible, it may be the hardware rather than software environment that makes not every 965 have this bug in the same place)

Sander: I'm treating the graphical artifacts bug 162206 as separate as Xubuntu has that and not this, but I'm willing to be corrected.
