plural not handled correctly by the system

Thank you for your bug report. Do you think you could point us to the particular string in the update-manager template?

This would make it much easier to track the problem.

Additionally, in the future, when filing translation bugs, I'd recommend you to file them against the particular application instead of the language packs. It would also be quite useful to add a bug task for the Ubuntu Translations project as described here -> https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/KnowledgeBase/ReportingBugs

I have check the translations pointed by your links and they do not contains any references to „1 hours”.

The problem is with the translation or the original string in english ?

You can copy the original text in the bug report and then we can search the template.

The original text is ok and it do has plural forms.

Original singular : %li hour
Original plural : %li hours

Hebrew singular : שעה אחת
Hebrew plural : %li שעות

Note that Rosetta is showing the text in RTL.

Are you saying that for value „1” instead of hebrew singlural it is used the hebrew plural translation?

This is what I understand from this bug report.

Actually in Hebrew we use the word "one" instead of the number "1" when we
need to display a time difference

Well, using one, two or three instead of 1, 2 or 3 apply for all languages. Also in some langauges we have genres.

Try to also use %d for singular and see what you get.

Well its a bit different with Hebrew because of the following rule:

One item should be enumerated differently than few items

Example:
One item in Hebrew would be: "Item one"
Whilst few items would be: "2 items" (same way as in English)

Hebrew example:
שעה - Hour
אחת - One (female)

Instead of writing "אחת שעה" which is the incorrect order we use "שעה אחת"
which is the correct form of representing the Hebrew equivalent to the term
"1 hour"

When it comes to larger numbers (n>=2) the rules are the same but they
differ when you deal with one item (n=1) so its exactly a single item and we
have a special rule for it
