Bug Description
Binary package hint: gedit
The gedit snippets plugin stores all the default snippets at /usr/share/
This results in unexpected behavior when editing the default snippets - once changed they should be implicitly saved, but when the program is restarted, they are back to the default.
The users custom snippets are stored at ~/.gnome2/
I assume this is an Ubuntu packaging bug, not sure though. Present in both Gutsy, and in Hardy with version 2.22.1-0ubuntu1
