Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-main-menu

I have three monitors configured in Xorg. I am not using Xinerama.

I added the gnome-main-menu applet to the panel on my second monitor. When I click on the applet, the menu appears on the first monitor instead of the second. Other applets (eg, the Date/Time applet) appear on the correct monitor.

Confirmed with Gutsy. I am currently using a Nvidia dualscreen (seperate x session) setup and when I try to open the menu on the 2nd monitor, it appears on the 1st monitor.

I think this has been fixed upstream,
http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/gnome-main-menu/trunk/ChangeLog?view=log

so we need to get this package updated in ubuntu.

---------------
gnome-main-menu (0.9.10+dfsg-0ubuntu1) intrepid; urgency=low

  * New upstream release (LP #234769)
  * Building against new gtk+ fixes broken dependencies (LP: #256832)
  * debian/patches/10_default_commands
    + Refresh for new version.
  * deban/patches/20_update_nm_api_usage

      r482 & r 485
  * debian/patches/30_respect_nautilus_spacial_setting
    + Change the schema default to not pass --browser to nautilus, so the
      user's spacial/browser preference is respected (LP: #144842)
  * debian/patches/40_display_menu_on_correct_screen
    + Always display the menu on the same screen as the panel applet.
      Patch from upstream svn r469. (LP: #82615)
  * debian/control:
    + Add build-depend on libnm-glib-dev
    + Bump standards-version to 3.8.0; package now conforms
  * debian/rules:
    + Add get-orig-source target, removing probably non-free en_US.po
      translation
  * debian/copyright:
    + Rewrite to bring in alignment with actual code
    + Use proposed machine-parsable copyright format
  * Add README.Source
  * Add watchfile
