Bug Description
Binary package hint: system-
Hi there and thank You all for Your help. I'm writing here upon hint of Till Kamppeter, who helped me a lot. After experiencing some other problem related with printing management (bug #597612 - bug #595650).
Every time I follow this procedure, I get the crash You can see by the attached info (collect automatically by apport procedure):
[please, consider I'm translating from Italian interface to English language]
- system menu > admin > printing
- select the default printer (the only one) with right button of mouse
- select "show printing queue"
- the job viewer pops up - it is empty even if it should not be empty (see comments here below)
- select the menu "view > show completed jobs"
- select the menu "view > refresh"
At this point I ALWAYS get a crash: apport window comes up, while the job viewer window is still alive apparently.
NOTE: The job window that appears with this procedure and that seems to be faulty, actually won't display the real printer queue. If I print a document, the printer icon appears in the notification area, leading me to e real jobviewer, which doesn't crash at all, and which displays hundreds of completed jobs and also the running one.
In brief: opening the job viewer from the printer config panel leads me to a mystery job viewer which isn't able to display the jobs and also it crashes every time it tries to show or refresh the printing queue.
Thank You in advance.
Ciao
CM
