Bug Description

The message after upgrading has an error in the spelling:
Upgrade complete

The upgrade is completed but there were errors during the ugprade process.

Should be upgrade I guess :)

Thank you for your bug report? Which Ubuntu version and update-manager versions are you running. You can find out by typing the following 2 commands:

lsb_release -rd
apt-cache policy update-manager

I was running 8.04 when I did an upgrade.
And after the upgrade I was this. So I don't know if it is in Hardy or Intrepid.
The results of your commands are:

lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch)
Release: 8.10

apt-cache policy update-manager
update-manager:
  Installed: 1:0.93.19
  Candidate: 1:0.93.19

Changing Incomplete->Confirmed because it happens for me too: "The upgrade is completed but there were errors during the ugprade process."

Hardy->Intrepid upgrade, release-upgrader version '0.93.24'

Thanks. After looking through the source, I can confirm that this bug exists in the Intrepid version of update-manager
