Bug Description
When installing hardy with fai (3.2.4+
fai tries to mount the mirror without -n option causing the installation to fail.
(mount tries to access /etc/mtab which is only a double symlink to readonly /proc/self/mounts)

The bug is not actually that mount tries to write /etc/mtab, but that unionfs is broken and doesn't allow you to "edit" existing files. See bug 197006.
