I can confirm this bug on a box with a Gigabyte GA-EG45M-DS2H board (i.e. intel G45 / GMA X4500HD), my cube is totally narcoleptic as well. While this temporary freeze happens no error or warning is printed to dmesg nor anything in xorg.log
