I just ran updates on Maverick and again, presented with a huge message - no grub device was found, blah blah may not be able to boot, then the next screen presented my hard drive and (loop0), the next screen the "You have not installed grub warning" with it defaulted to <No> so it will go back to the prior screen.

On top of that, lately whenever I run update-grub the following new error is shown:
/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: /host/ubuntu/disks/root.disk is not a block device.

Setting up grub-pc (1.98+20100804-4ubuntu5) ...

Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.35-20-generic

I think this is just going to add confusion to wubi users. It shouldn't be too hard to identify that it's wubi and just bypass this all, in my opinion.
