Thanks for using Ubuntu One and for the bug report!

The reason this screenshot doesn't have an icon is because when you first install the client software, there is no icon in that menu. We want to make sure installation instructions match what a users sees as closely as possible, so recreating the missing icon is important.

Note that the icon does appear after a session restart (log out / log back in) so it's not that the icon is never there, it's just that it doesn't show up when you first install the software.
