Did the "magic":
Went into Synaptic, deselected 'ubuntuone-ppa-beta'. Selected 'ubuntuone-ppa'. Also made sure that 'ubuntuone-client', 'ubuntuone-client-gnome' and 'ubuntuone-client-tools'.
But it didn't work for me: still no window to "Add my computer" in Firefox. I do get a small UbuntuOne icon in the panel, with a white x in a red square, and it says "disconnected" when the mouse hovers over it. No way to connect. And I do have an account.
Any suggestion?
