Got it working! Did the following;

Went into Synaptic, deselected 'ubuntuone-ppa-beta'. Selected 'ubuntuone-ppa'. Also made sure that 'ubuntuone-client', 'ubuntuone-client-gnome' and 'ubuntuone-client-tools'.

Then I installed the new files. Reloaded synaptic. Got the updates. Ran 'Ubuntu One' from the applications menu. Waited a few seconds and the 'add computer' option opened in Firefox. Ubuntu One is now connected to the internet and says that it is 'updating files'.

Will attempt to do that same on my other machine now.
