How this is not of high importance baffles me.

This breaks U1 for everyone at our university. We're behind an authenticating squid proxy... For a program that ships with Ubuntu by default to not work behind a proxy is unbelievable.

As for SabreWolfy's post, I'd expect this issue Has a severe impact on a s̶m̶a̶l̶l̶ large portion of Ubuntu users (estimated)
