I don't wanna sound like an ass, but Ubuntu and all Linux'es are community driven distributions. If this is really a big problem (and I know it is) then I suggest someone with the knowledge will try to fix it, or you people try to find someone how can. I'm not very familiar with Python, else I would give it it a try. Or, pay Canonical to fix it :D
