Comment 42 for bug 387308

Proxy support for files and notes sync will be ready for Ubuntu 10.10. Maverick testers should be able to use this today. We tried to finish proxy support for desktopcouch (which would enable contacts, bookmarks, and other apps that store data in CouchDB) in time for Ubuntu 10.10 but didn't make the deadline. Proxy support for desktopcouch-related features will most likely be included in 11.04.
