Comment 126 for bug 387308

The wishlist status is just plain wrong.
I mean it's packaged by default but does not behave like other programs using global proxy settings. It's either a bug or defective by design. But then there shouldn't be that big fuzz about U1 while pretending proxy support is a "nice to have" feature...

I really like Ubuntu and the way it is developing... but this is one of the biggest disappointments so far... because it could be SO EXTREMELY USEFUL!!!

It just makes me cry...
