I can verify this bug, running the ubuntuone client from the menu did nothing, running ubuntuone-client-applet --signup resulted in a seg fault.

I ran "ps aux | grep ubuntuone" and found this running:

username 3182 1.2 1.7 30708 17928 ? Sl 19:44 0:07 /usr/bin/python /usr/lib/ubuntuone-client/ubuntuone-syncdaemon

I kill -9'ed the process and started the applet again, this time it worked perfectly.
