Using ath9k for an Airport (MacbookPro 3,1) on Intrepid. Network Manager connects and everything is fine, but from time to time it falls back with the syslog message:

NetworkManager: <info> (wlan0): supplicant connection state change: 7 -> 6
NetworkManager: <info> (wlan0): supplicant connection state change: 6 -> 7

Connection is crippled from then on as it seems to be physically still alive, but no packets are reaching their target destination. Reconnecting using Network Manager brings it back to work again. This behaviour is also described in duplicate bugs: bug #269987 and bug #252180
