Filiprino : Thanks for this information. Can you confirm that this issue is really caused by usplash? You can know this by starting you computer with usplash disabled and look if the problem still happens. If you can reproduce the problem even when usplash is disabled, you probably have another bug. To boot with usplash disabled :

   1. Press Esc during Grub boot delay to access the boot menu.
   2.Select your actual Ubuntu boot line and press "e" to edit it.
   3.Select the "kernel" line and press "e" to edit it.
   4.At the end of the line, remove "splash" and "quiet" and press "enter".
   5.Type "b" to boot the custom boot line.

If you can reproduce the bug with usplash disabled, searching for a already posted bug or opening a new bug is a good idea.
