I sended a mail to the ubuntu-devel mailing list and a ubuntu developers answered that we're not using vesafb and we have not for quite a while. So the Fabio Papa suggestion does not seem to be a solution. It also confirm the fact that this bug only happens with Geforce 8xxx because one developer has a Geforce 7600GS and doesn't have this problem with 64bit.
