Comment 122 for bug 147623

On my system this seems to be not completely fixed. I have done a fresh installation with daily-live image 20080322, booting the live CD works fine, but when I boot the installed system, I get the splash screen only during the first boot stage (when the progress bar goes from left to right and vice versa), at the second stage of the boot process only text output is shown, same as if I would boot without the 'splash'-option in /boot/grub/menu.lst . TTYs are working fine. I could try to make a video of my system during boot if that would help.

Nevertheless I would also like to say huge thanks to all people fixing this issue!
