Ok since this is for sure a kernel problem I've opened a new task for it. Thank you for the confirmation that the problem is fixed in 2.6.34-rc7. It would be especially helpful if anyone could narrow down which 2.6.34-rc the problem was fixed by installing different mainline kernels until you find one where it is fixed. I would start at 2.6.34-rc1 and work your way up. Andy Whitcroft is building a test kernel that just disables FBC on this device as well, but if we could narrow down where it was fixed it would be a great help. Also, please do make sure that you are not using powersave=0 when you test the .34 kernels before saying it is fixed.
