It seems I've let this report run wild: The issue in this bug is EXA being "damn slow" on some Intel graphics chipsets. While the issue has yet to be fixed, the things being discussed here have nothing to do with it.

I'm removing myself from the mailing list for the report because it no longer affects me: I've been using UXA for months with great results.
