Whenever I open an application, I see the following in the Xorg.0.log file:
(EE) intel(0): underrun on pipe B!
I am attaching my Xorg.0.log file to this bug report as it was generated with the ModeDebug option turned on. I also found some discussions relating to underruns and blank displays with recent driver versions (including 2.4.0 and git trunk).
