I'd guess not: 178292 logs a backtrace and restarts X, this one logs Error in I830WaitLpRing() and hangs.

While https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9307 does appear to be this bug and was closed as fixed, the versions said to fix it are the ones in Gutsy, so while it might well have been fixed for that particular user's hardware/software it wasn't then fixed for everyone.
