Yup, Rebecca was right. Sorry everyone! It was a completely different bug related to XGL, and not this.

Anyway, I disabled XGL, and that got DRI working again. glxgears ran fine too. Then I tried running Blender, and...

Rendering does not work. It just crashes.

NOW I've run into this bug.
