I have an Acer Extensa model 4620, and I also have the same graphics card (Intel 358 Megabyte X3100), and have the same problem. Almost all of my 3D games, like Super Tux Kart, just crash after some time! I am using Ubuntu 8.04.1, Hardy Haron. All I can say is, I hope there are no proprietary drivers needed, otherwise this problem may not ever be fixed! Maybe the community could create a generic driver for this.
