   I did some searching, and it seems if you delete the i965tex directory from src/mesa/drivers/dri/ it should compile. I have no idea why it's even committed in the repository if its causing the build to fail. But if you delete it, the build will succeed.

   I followed your instructions, and successfully installed the latest drivers etc., but Blender is still slower than normal, and according to glxinfo I no longer have DRI, and many OpenGL accelerated apps (Glest and StepMania, for example) won't even start anymore.
