Also tested xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.1.1-0ubuntu9.1 (gutsy-proposed) and it does not fix it for me.

When using the 'intel' driver the screen stays black after starting xserver and it tends to hang.
I am successfully using the 'i810' driver.
