I'd like to try it too, because this bug upsets me. But I read about KDE 4.3 RC 1:

"Note that these packages have a bug which causes X to die during the upgrade. The upgrade will continue and you can reboot when it is done."

So, how do you know when the upgrade is done? What time would you wait before rebooting?
