I've upstreamed the bug at http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18707. Please subscribe to that bug report in case upstream needs further information or wishes you to test something. Hopefully they'll be able to provide some better insight into the issue. Thanks ahead of time.
