I can confirm this issue, and the solution posted above. (I can duplicate the bug that way as well.)

Intrepid 6.10 running kernel 2.6.27-9-server.
nVidia 8400gs / Proprietary binary blob 177.82.
Dual monitors, separate X screens, one rotated, Xinerama.
