Same problem here with daily snapshot installer CD for Kubuntu jaunty from 2009-03-21: really (!!) huge font sizes in kdm and kde itself, round about four lines for the whole screen!

I use an AMD/ATI onboard graphics 3200 HD and a Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD monitor. It works fine with another monitor so I assume it's the monitor reporting wrong information. Monitor is connected via analog VGA cable (no other available).

I'll attach the Xorg.0.log and the output of `xrandr --verbose` and hope this will be fixed until release. :-)
