Comment 6 for bug 318261

I'm also having problems with my multimedia keys in Jaunty. I'm using a Dell wireless keyboard (don't know the model, but it's the default type with the Studio Hybrid desktops). The multimedia keys worked fine in 8.10, but after the dist-upgrade, they do not work anymore.

"xev" shows nothing, but, strangely, I can see using "top" that "hald" and "hald-addon-input" jump to around 6% processor load (from 0%) when I press the multimedia keys.

How do I even begin to debug this?
