please do. human history is horrible -- just look at the history of kurds, jews, poles, uighurs, tibetans, the people of timor leste and west papua, natives of any country that's ever been colonised in the past few centuries (particularly south america, my own australia, africa, north america, etc), the baltic countries post-ww2, catholic/protestant wars, israel/palestine ... people as a whole tend to be absolutely awful.

this is a technical project, and politics has no place in it. i'm very sorry to hear of plight of crimean tatars and i'm sure it's incredibly unpleasant, but pinning it on sergey and suggesting that his very nationality makes him unfit to judge your patches on a technical level will not work. it is his project, he's the maintainer, and that's not going to change any time soon unless he decides otherwise. it sucks that your account request took so long to approve, but you're hardly the only one. there have been a few that have taken similar lengths of time, or longer. oh well.
