Untranslatable strings in xkeyboard-config-1.1~cvs.20080104.1

Can you (or someone) provide a patch against xkeyboard-config which does this? I tried running intltool-update against files individually in po/ but I guess I don't know enough about i18n to understand how to fix this.

Okay, I have attached the debdiff that adds intltool-update to debian/rules (and an intltool build-dependency).

Reopening, since a fix is now provided.

Please ignore the previous attachment, as it's not working with the individual .po-files (my mistake). Here is the fixed debdiff (with the same version), that is actually updating the translations and doesn't have an intltool build-dep.

However, the .po-files are modified during the build and there's no way to revert them (to the .orig.tar.gz state). This may introduce problems with debuild clean targets and generating diff.gz for the source package.

The suggested fix for these problems is to manually update to .po-files when creating svn snapshots by running "make update-po" from the po/ directory (when stable releases are archived, this is done automatically by "make dist").

This bug was fixed in the package xkeyboard-config - 1.3-1ubuntu1
