added this PPA ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa

Which updated mesa to 7.7, and did some other things as well, still doesn't work though quits with this message:

err:winediag:X11DRV_WineGL_InitOpenglInfo Direct rendering is disabled, most likely your OpenGL drivers haven't been installed correctly

hmm...
