From a practical standpoint, Ubuntu Hardy is coming out soon, and while Wine can be patched at any time before release I believe the version of fontforge might be set. We may want to have a workaround anyway.

Then again, Ubuntu is not opposed to patching fontforge if the changes we get are minimal enough.

So, as a package maintainer, what should I do? Someone needs to point me to a patch for Wine or a patch for fontforge that I can ask to be merged in.
