No need for feisty.

Do:
   - eject the dvd
   - sudo strace -f -p <pid of the hald-addon-storage polling your drive device> -o /tmp/addon-storage.strace.txt
   - insert the cd
   - wait
   - ctrl+c
   - send the /tmp/addon-storage.strace.txt file.
