Same here. Shows this at boot time:

usplash: no usable screen found for resolution 640x480.
Screen init failed

Then continues to boot normally.

Am using a Dell Inspiron 640m Widescreen. (1440x900).

I don't know if this problem has anything to do with the fact that I need 915resolution to start the Xorg server.
