@Andreas: This is something complete different - please file it as a separate bug/wish.

But is someone doing anything about this bug?
Its a really easy fix - and - eh - you can't easily update your system without using the command line.
Just add kpackagekit as dependency of update-notifier-kde - or at least disscuss why you don't do it.
