Comment 2 for bug 253439

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help make Ubuntu better. Could you please tell me whether this happens only with update-manager, or does it happen with any application that requires executing as root (eg, Software Sources or Synaptic). If this is the case, it might be a bug in gksu instead.
