I can confirm this bug. I believe the problem is that udev attempts to start before modules are loaded. Directly after udev fails, modules load, then my system fails to mount my /dev/evms/sdXX drive/partitions and I hit the e2fsck recovery console. From there, if I do:

/etc/init.d/udev stop
/etc/init.d/udev start
/etc/init.d/lvm restart
/etc/init.d/evms restart

all boots well.
