Hi,

As I look for solution on the web, I am looking at this sites:

Something got in my mind, does it matter if you are a 32bit and 64bit in term of udev update. Or maybe the, the solutions for 32-bit is not applicable for 64-bit.

wpshooter if you read the previous messages with Savvas it says,
"Can you post the current output of this command in terminal:
apt-cache policy udev"

Then this one
Also, can you post the contents of the file
/etc/udev/rules.d/60-persistent-storage.rules in these events:
- After the install of Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex, WITHOUT updating anything.
- After the install of ALL intrepid updates (and after the reboots it requires).
- After you apply the changes with the two lines of command you use.

We would be happy to see the result. Maybe we could get some clue their for my cd-tray was still not fixed.
