The new rule didn't work.

SUBSYSTEMS=="usb", ENV{ID_MODEL}=="USB_Multimedia_Keyboard", IMPORT{program}="usb_id --export %p", GOTO="keyboard_usbcheck"

That's a version which works, and I hope is reasonably efficient.
