I certainly hope this IS a joke and that we get something decent for the final release. This is the worst I think I've ever seen though the "elephant hide" came close! To be more constructive... I really like the Heron wallpaper - I was very impressed with that - striking, different, colourful, yet with the Ubuntu Heron theme firmly visible. I have been hoping to see something similar using an Ibex for the 8.10 release. Currently I'm using one of the silhouettes of an Ibex in the sunset as the best I've found so far for my liking.
