Comment 43 for bug 357864

As was pointed out in comment #41, there is already a bug for making a ui for
having multiple identities. This bug is about making the From header editable.
 You may not see the need for having this because you *only* have 8 email
addresses. Some of us create email addresses on the fly when we are asked for
an email address by an online form. For example, my email address is
<email address hidden> and the only place I use this is in discussing mozilla.
Unfortunately, I stupidly posted it on a mozilla news group and it got
harvested, but I simply redirect all mail to that address that is not from the
mozilla bug daemon to a junk folder because I know it is spam. However, I don't
want to have to create an address for every email alias I create and I don't
even want to have to wade through a drop down of 50 email aliases to find the
one that I should use in a given context. If this bug ever gets fixed, it would
be nice to have a from address that I have entered get put in my address book
and provide auto-completion from the address book in that field. That way, when
I type in moz, it lets me accept "<email address hidden>" if I want.
