Yes! I've been thinking the same. We already have bug 1965303 to track that.

Yes I do need to double-check if hacking out PLY_ENABLE_SYSTEMD_INTEGRATION affects the presence of those specific messages. When I said doing so didn't help in comment #18 I may have been looking at *all* messages.
